Born and raised in Mauritania, Kadiata Diallo began her fashion journey with her studies at the prestigious school "STUDIO BERÇOT" and then started to experiment the different areas of the industry. After doing her graduation internship inside Catherine Miran press agency, she gets to help the setup of a conceptual store called COINCIDENCE where she worked as a buyer until the space closed.

It’s surrounded by creative people in Paris that she decided to become independent by creating NIUKU in 2013. After years of perfecting the first brand identity, she starts to raise interest in Japan and it will mark a turning point for the positioning of the designer who has managed to become in 2017, the first African woman to be named as finalist in the ANDAM FASHION AWARD creative label section.

After being laureate of the Maison Mode Méditerranée prize in Marseille and getting recognition of French Ministry of Culture in 2018, Kadiata is the first Fulani and Mauritanian woman to have been able to step inside of the closed world of fashion industry in Paris.
